The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has released the results of the Nov/Dec 2017 West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE which was  taken by 131,485 candidates. TEACHERS FAIL APTITUDE TEST IN LAGOS

The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, TRCN, Lagos State, on Monday said about 51 teachers did fail the Professional Qualifying Examination, PQE, conducted by the council on 14th of october Gbolahan Enilolobo, the state coordinator of the council, disclosed that 412 teachers sat for the maiden edition of the examination. He said the failure of the teachers was mainly because they were not conversant with the use of the computer, adding that many of them are not digitally compliant. The TRCN had on October 14 conducted the examination for the teachers, through Computer Based Test, CBT. The examination was to qualify the successful teachers to register as professionals and be licensed with the council. MANY DEAD IN NEW ADAMAWA BOMB BLAST

Many people are feared to have died after a bomb blast in Mubi, Adamawa state, after teenage boy detonated his explosives after morning prayers at a mosque. About 30 people are believed to have died in the resulting blast.
