This came to the fore after three housemates; Lolu, Anto, Khloe were evicted during the Sunday Live eviction show. Recall that the Head of House, Alex picked a chance card which placed everyone up for possible eviction, except her. Tobi was saved as well as Nina after she came fourth in the game which made her qualify for the finals. By this time next week, one of the five housemates will emerge winner as the show would be coming to an end.

Rivers State government reiterates committment to the health insurance scheme

Rivers State Government on Wednesday said that it was committed to implementing the Health Insurance Scheme. The Commissioner for Health, Prof. Princewill Chike gave the assurance in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt. Chike said that the government was already building five zonal hospitals as part of the preparations for the project take-off. According to him, the Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital (BSMH) is also being upgraded to meet the requirements for the scheme. The commissioner said that the government’s intention for the scheme was to make healthcare affordable and accessible to the ordinary people. The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has released the results of the Nov/Dec 2017 West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE which was taken by 131,485 candidates. The results were released in Katsina State during the 55th Annual Meeting of the Nigeria National Committee, NNC. HIV/AIDS: Michael Okpara University Discovers New Cure

Prof. Francis Otunta, the Vice Chancellor (VC), Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia state has confirmed the discovery of a new drug for the treatment and cure of HIV/AIDS by the institution. Otunta told newsmen at the university campus on Wednesday that the finding followed years of scientific research by the institution. He said that the breakthrough was made by one Prof. Maduike Ezeibe, a researcher in the university. According to him, Ezeibe had presented the drug to the University management, Senate and Council, where he explained the processes he went through to arrive at his findings.
