Forbes Rates Dangote among top 75 most powerful People in the world

INDUSTRIALIST Aliko Dangote has been ranked among 75 most powerful persons on the planet. He is ahead of United States (U.S.) Vice President Mike Pence. Dangote, according to the Forbe’s latest 2018 ranking of the World Powerful people, is ranked among world leaders like Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump – all of whom were ranked first, second and third. Dangote, who is chairman of Dangote Group, was ranked 66th most powerful person in the world ahead of Pence (ranked 67) and Qamar Javed Bajwa, the highly influential Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, ranked 68. MAN CAUGHT IN CROSS RIVER WITH GUNS BURIED IN GARRI

A man has been nabbed at a motor park in Obudu, Crops River with pistols buried in bag of garri. The suspect identified as 32-year- old Emmanuel Akamabe, resident at Ranch Road in Obudu was arrested on Tuesday morning at the Obudu Motor Park by Mr. Martin Umbie, the Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW. He was found with two Barreta pistols, two empty magazines and two live rounds, hidden in a bag of garri. ZIMBABWE: FORMER VP EMMERSON TO REPLACE MOGABE

Emmerson Mnangagwa, a former vice president of Zimbabwean , who was sacked by Robert Mugabe, would be sworn in Wednesday, media reports say. Local media and Zimbabwean sources said Mr. Mnangagwa would be sworn in within 48hours that's Wednesday to replace Mr. Mugabe who resigned on Tuesday after 37-years in office as president. The 75-year-old was removed from office and exiled 13 days after Mr. Mugabe accused him of disloyalty and insubordination. Mr. Mugabe had reportedly taken the action to pave way for his wife, Grace, to emerge as the new leader of ruling Zanu-PF ahead of the country’s general election next year. Mr. Mnangagwa is said to be popular amongst the powerful War Veterans group and the Zimbabwean military chiefs. The ruling party is said to have adopted Mr Mnangagwa as their candidate for the next years Presidential elections.

Nigeria Becomes 7th Largest country in the World

With a population of 198 million, Nigeria is now the 7 th most populous nation on earth and the largest in Africa. According to Chairman of the National Population Commission, (NPC), Eze Duruiheoma who spoke in London on Nigeria’s statement on sustainable cities, human mobility and international migration at the 51st session of commission on population and development, Nigeria currently rank as the 7th most populous nation in the world. The Manchester United goalkeeper injured his right knee during training in Buenos Aires on Tuesday. “Romero will be removed from the list of 23 players who will participate in the 2018 World Cup in Russia,” the AFA said in a statement. Romero, 31, is the most capped goalkeeper in the history of the Argentina national team with 83 appearances and represented the country at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups. The AFA said Romero had suffered a blockage in his right knee and was being evaluated surgically. A replacement will be announced “in the coming days,” the statement said. Pastor Chris Oyakhilom e of Christ Embassy was reportedly gifted a jet aircraft by some members of his church on Sunday night. The gift came from the church’s Music and Art group during the Loveworld International Music Award which took place on Sunday night to close the week-long International Pastors and Partners Conference (IPPC) held in Lagos Nigeria. A member of the Believers Loveworld Ministry (aka Christ Embassy) shared the news on Facebook and another revealed that the gift was from three members – Evangelist Katy, her husband and her son – while other church members sowed seeds.
