Arsenal Signs Biggest sleeve deal in Premier league History

Arsenal confirm they have agreed a three-year deal with ‘Visit Rwanda’, which will see the Rwanda Development Board become their first official sleeve partner. The ‘Visit Rwanda’ logo will be featured on the left sleeve of all the Arsenal sides next season.

Goal say the deal is the biggest in Premier League history and will finally see the Gunners match their rivals on the commercial front. Arsenal have signed a £10 million per year deal which surpasses Chelsea’s £6m per year partnership with Hyundai and Manchester City’s deal with Nexen Tire.

Players from Arsenal Women and Men will visit the country, while club coaches will host development camps for Rwandan children. The move should further boost tourism in the country, with Rwanda having already doubled their number of visitors in the last 10 years.

They have rapidly grown their economy in Africa and are now in a position to sign a lucrative sponsorship deal that should benefit both parties. Arsenal’s previous contract with kit sponsors Emirates did not allow them a sleeve sponsor until a recent extension afforded them another avenue to generate more revenue.

According to the club website, Arsenal’s shirt is seen 35 million times a day around the world. And if ‘Visit Rwanda’ is being viewed to the masses, the country could soon achieve their goal of being a leading tourist destination. They’ve already been awarded for leadership in tourism and competitiveness by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) and the World Economic Forum.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has released the list of 58 illegal universities and degree awarding institutions in Nigeria. The commission said the universities are yet to be licensed by the federal government and have been shut down for violating the national minimum standard for education. . MTN Launches 5G technology: First in Africa

MTN says it has achieved download speeds of more than 20 gigabits per second in its first trial of fifth-generation (5G) technology. “This is the highest achieved on a mobile network in Africa‚” the service provider said in a statement on Monday. It said it was ready to deploy the technology commercially but could not do so until it had access to additional frequency spectrum. The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa‚ which regulates spectrum‚ has not yet allocated spectrum for 4G infrastructure‚ TechCentral reported‚ forcing operators to reallocate 2G and 3G spectrum. Said MTN South Africa chief technology and innovation officer Giovanni Chiarelli: “There is no doubt that 5G will offer the consumer higher speeds and lower latency‚ but to achieve this we need the capacity that comes with additional spectrum. MTN to Sell 30% of its Nigerian Company proposes $500b IPO on NSE

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Wednesday confirmed that MTN Group had finally commenced discussions with the commission on its proposed 500 million dollars Initial Public Offering (IPO). A senior management staff of SEC who pleaded anonymity told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that MTN had commenced discussion with the commission on the IPO. The source told NAN that although talks were ongoing, the company was yet to formally file its application for the IPO. He said the commission was committed to investors’ protection, and that their interest would be protected in the ongoing discussion. The source said SEC would remain committed to the development of the nation’s capital market and listing of more multinationals. 2018 JAMB BANS 16 ITEMS

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has listed 16 items including eye glasses and wrist watches that will not be allowed into the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) hall JAMB UTME Monitoring groups secretary, Ngozi Egbuna, made the disclosure in a memo to some civil society groups which will participate in the monitoring of the examination, Vanguard reports. The board however, stated that eye grasses worn by candidates on medical grounds would be thoroughly scrutinized by invigilators to ensure they were not for ulterior motives.
