Amaechi Reveals what He does with His salary as a Minister

The Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, has revealed how much he earns monthly under Buhari’s administration. Amaechi speaking at the presentation of a book titled, ‘Dignity in Service,’ authored by the late Dr. Matthew Mbu, a former Minister of Foreign Affairs said he earns “only N950,000” a month, out of which he also pays his aides. At Last a Nigerian University Ranks among worlds best

Nigeria's premier University, The University of Ibadan has secured a spot in the top 978 ranked universities in the world. In the ranking released by the Times Higher Education, The university was ranked 801 alongside several others. UI was also the only Nigerian university to make the list. Earlier in 2016, the Academic Ranking of World Universities (AWRU) and the Center for World Universities Ranking (CWUR) released a list of the top 500 and 1000 world universities respectively and no Nigerian university was on the list. CWUR said that Nigerian universities were not considered for the ranking because of lack of quality research. EFCC Arrests woman in JAMB who says snake swallowed 36M

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested and grilled a JAMB official based in Makurdi, Philomina Chieshe, who claimed that a snake swallowed N36m. The money was part of the proceeds of the sale of scratch cards. Detectives at the commission told newsmen that Chieshe revealed that the money was collected in instalments from her by her Coordinator, Mr. Samuel Umoru. In one of the statements she volunteered to the EFCC, Chieshe who is a clerk in the Makurdi office of JAMB, was said to have revealed that the coordinator usually asked her to withdraw proceeds of the sale of the cards from her account in two banks. In the statement she made to the EFCC under oath, Chieshe said, “This money that I withdraw, the coordinator used it for the office and some time for himself.” She claimed that she had been warning Umaru that it was wrong to use the money for miscellaneous expenses in the office or for private purposes but he would not listen. A man has been nabbed at a motor park in Obudu, Crops River with pistols buried in bag of garri. The suspect identified as 32-year- old Emmanuel Akamabe, resident at Ranch Road in Obudu was arrested on Tuesday morning at the Obudu Motor Park by Mr. Martin Umbie, the Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW. He was found with two Barreta pistols, two empty magazines and two live rounds, hidden in a bag of garri. ZIMBABWE: FORMER VP EMMERSON TO REPLACE MOGABE

Emmerson Mnangagwa, a former vice president of Zimbabwean , who was sacked by Robert Mugabe, would be sworn in Wednesday, media reports say. Local media and Zimbabwean sources said Mr. Mnangagwa would be sworn in within 48hours that's Wednesday to replace Mr. Mugabe who resigned on Tuesday after 37-years in office as president. The 75-year-old was removed from office and exiled 13 days after Mr. Mugabe accused him of disloyalty and insubordination. Mr. Mugabe had reportedly taken the action to pave way for his wife, Grace, to emerge as the new leader of ruling Zanu-PF ahead of the country’s general election next year. Mr. Mnangagwa is said to be popular amongst the powerful War Veterans group and the Zimbabwean military chiefs. The ruling party is said to have adopted Mr Mnangagwa as their candidate for the next years Presidential elections.
