Kendall Jenner becomes the worlds highest paid supermodel replacing Gisele Bundchen for the first time in 15 years, with earnings of $22 million dollars.

The 22-year-old model and reality star topped the annual Forbes list for the first time, a rise from 2016's $10 million total.

This is thanks to an Instagram account that lets her disseminate adverts to 85 million followers, deals with Estée Lauder, La Perla and Adidas, among others.

Paychecks also from her family's reality TV show, her Kendall + Kylie clothing line with her cosmetics mogul sister, Kylie Jenner, and numerous social media endorsements were added.

Gisele, who held the position since 2002, came in second place with $17.5 million and Chrissy Teigen joined the list for the first time after raking in $13.5 million over the past 12 month-period.

OSINBAJO DECRIES HUGE EXODUS OF DOCTORS FROM NIGERIA

The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, on Monday decried the way Nigerian doctors are leaving the country in droves saying the government now has an opportunity to bring back the doctors. Mr. Osinbajo, who spoke at the 60th-anniversary celebration of the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan, said that the dismal levels of job satisfaction caused by poor healthcare system in Nigeria were responsible for the “alarming” brain drain in the country’s health sector. The vice president’s remarks comes a few days after the Chairman, Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Lagos State branch, Olumuyiwa Odusote, lamented the exodus of doctors from Nigeria. MANY DEAD IN NEW ADAMAWA BOMB BLAST

Many people are feared to have died after a bomb blast in Mubi, Adamawa state, after teenage boy detonated his explosives after morning prayers at a mosque. About 30 people are believed to have died in the resulting blast. According to the Adamawa State Police Command, the suicide attack occurred around 5:20am at Kunu Araha, a suburb in Mubi North. “We were made to understand that there was a bomb blast at a mosque in Mubi and over 30 lives were lost. A boy about 17-year-old wearing a suicide vest entered the mosque along with other worshippers. Immediately after the prayers, he detonated the bomb. Many of the wounded are receiving treatment at various hospitals in Mubi North where the attacks occurred around Kunu Araha area” Othman Abubakar, the police spokesman said. Rivers State government reiterates committment to the health insurance scheme

Rivers State Government on Wednesday said that it was committed to implementing the Health Insurance Scheme. The Commissioner for Health, Prof. Princewill Chike gave the assurance in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt. Chike said that the government was already building five zonal hospitals as part of the preparations for the project take-off. According to him, the Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital (BSMH) is also being upgraded to meet the requirements for the scheme. The commissioner said that the government’s intention for the scheme was to make healthcare affordable and accessible to the ordinary people. The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has released the results of the Nov/Dec 2017 West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE which was taken by 131,485 candidates. The results were released in Katsina State during the 55th Annual Meeting of the Nigeria National Committee, NNC.
